Sonora Regional Medical Center ICU RN
CA RN License, BLS & ACLS required - PALS desired
1/5 start preferred, no later than 1/12
Night shift - 36 hour weekly guarantee for 13 weeks
6 beds
Ratio 2:1 (standard)
Mixed cardiac and med-surg unit
We do not do CABG, trauma, organ transplant or neurosurgery
We do have ventilators, arterial and central lines, thrombolytics, vascular surgery, diagnostic cath lab, interventional radiology, basic IV drips -insulin and vasopressors along with sedation/pain
Successful completion of Basic Critical Care Course
One year (preferred) of clinical nursing experience in critical care, with emphasis on intensive and coronary care nursing.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated care to patients in the ICU/CCU and for the day to day management and supervision of the clinical activities in the unit on shifts assigned. Observes and evaluates data, confers with other members of the healthcare team to meet the emotional, physical and cognitive needs of the critically ill patients. The Nurse is responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of ancillary personnel, utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion with independent judgement.
